Surfing has made a return to the Hunter Academy of Sport's list of talent development programs. The co-operation and enthusiasm of Surfing NSW, the Newcastle Surfboard Association, local professional surfers Paul Parkes and Dan Frodsham and the academy is behind the squad's revival. The 2005 squad has been selected and an orientation meeting was held earlier this month in the auditorium at South Newcastle Leagues Club.
