Damion from Boardcollector has announced a new surfboard valuations forum on Facebook. So if you, or your customers are stuck on the value of an old trade in or customer inquiry, particularly anything collectable, this could be a valuable resource. The Board Collector is a website dedicated to exploring and enjoying the shapers and surfcraft mainly from the 'innovation period' of surfboard design- 1975 to 1985.

“I get a lot of emails asking for help with valuations, from pin tails to collectible pins. I'm pretty good at it but decided why not get every one's input?” posed Damion.

Damion will post the pics to the boardcollector facebook page and facebook fans can collectively post their own valuations. Email damion@boardcollector.com your pics and whatever information you have on the board, who shaped it, dimensions etc and he’ll create an album. Damion was recently invited to sit on the panel of 'expert' appraisers at Sacred Craft Surfboard Expo in San Diego on Saturday August 14th.
