FIRST OUTDOOR CHINA MOVED TO JUNE 2011 20.07.10
Organisers for China’s first exhibition for outdoor sports and leisure activities, Messe Frankfurt and the China Outdoor Commerce Alliance, the organisers of the fair have successfully lobbied the management of the Shanghai Exhibition Centre to changeits dates of Outdoor China to the 23 – 25 June 2011. “These dates fit better with the outdoor sports and leisure activities exhibition calendar and were always our favoured time slot. The move comes after a series of discussions with the management of the fairground, who now recognise holding the event one month later, will boost show participation. As a result of this change, onsite business dialogue between industry professionals will be maximised,” said Mr Hubert Duh, a member of the Board of Directors of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd.
The show will feature a wide variety of international and domestic manufacturers and suppliers of apparel styles, backpacks, books and maps, outdoor sports gear and equipment, footwear, specialised materials, tools and accessories. And the event will be of particular interest to import and export companies, trading companies, department stores, outward-bound businesses, tourism associations and naturists involved in the purchase, production and promotion of bicycle, camp, paddle, snow, trail and wildlife based activities undertaken in a natural or an artificial natural environment.
To help participants gain a better understanding of the issues affecting the industry, a comprehensive fringe programme will be held together with the show. Programme highlights will include a series of informative seminars and a raft of hot product presentations led by seasoned professionals.
Mr Li Jianhua, President of China Textile Commerce Association is confident Outdoor China will help propel the development of China’s outdoor pursuits market. “We expect this new exhibition, specifically tailored for outdoor sports and leisure activities, will provide a comprehensive and efficient trade and exchange platform. The combined experience of the trade fair organisers guarantees this will be a fantastic event, benefitting the whole industry.”
